About Memorial Day Tournament

The tournament is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley region, only 5 minutes from I-84 by the Taconic State Parkway.  We are centrally located only 15 minutes from the CT border by Danbury, CT off of I-84 and 50 minutes from both the PA and NJ borders.  We are only 90 minutes from L.I. and 90 minutes from Albany. Southern Westchester County is a 45 minute drive and we are only an hour from the Bronx.  See the map on the bottom on this page.

Our tournament offers 175+ girls and boys teams, of all competitive levels, an outstanding opportunity to play teams from clubs representing the Hudson Valley, Capital District, Westchester, NYC, Long Island, CT, PA, Western NY and NJ.  The boys teams play on Saturday and the girls on Sunday.  We schedule in two locations  150 minutes of playing time; typically three 50-minute games in a round-robin format.  Brackets are complete in only 5 hours allowing teams to enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend with their families.  If you plan to make a vacation out of your trip, there many beautiful places to visit, great entertainment and delicious restaurants to dine at.

Features of this tournament include:

• 150 minutes of playing time guaranteed for all age groups (typically 3×50′ games).
• 3 referee system for U11 and above age groups.
• Minimal waiting between games. Teams brackets are normally completed in 5 hours (1 hour rest between each of 3 games)
• Managed by Got Soccer (ranking points awarded for U10 and above.)
• Boys play Saturday. Girls play Sunday. (There is a possibility for additional U8-U11 Boys brackets to be held on Sunday. Contact us if interested).

Each club which registers five or more teams will receive a $25 discount for each of the teams that registered.  

 

COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY:

• Teams to be affiliated with the USYSA and/or USSF.
• Club Travel and AYSO teams are welcome.
• Premier teams will be required to play up one year.
• Team rosters, medical releases and players passes will be required at the tournament registration.
• Up to three guest players will be permitted.

APPLICATION:

• The entry fee is $525 (U8-U10) and $575 (U11-U19) if registered and paid before May 12th, 2023. The late registration and payment fee is $550 (U8-U10) and $600 (U11-U19) per team.
• Apply early as space is limited as the tournament tends to fill brackets quickly.
• The application deadline is May 5th, 2024.
• Early Bird registration, if registered by 4/01/24 save $25 at registration.
• All selections are final.
• After notification of selection, the fee is non-refundable.

• Route 52 Soccer Complex
• Van Wyck Junior High School

FORMAT:

• All games in each group will be completed in one day. The AM brackets either start at 8:00 or 9:00. The PM brackets start at either 2:00 or 3:00. Brackets complete in 5 hours.
• A three referee system for U11 and above age groups will be used.
• All U8 teams will receive participation awards. (U8 is non-competitive)
• Player awards for 1st and 2nd place in U9-U19 age groups.
• Trading of patches and pins is strongly encouraged.

Tents with coolers of water and fruit were provided.  Three referees for U11 and Up, one referee for U8-U10. Games were 50 minutes (2 x 25 min halves; 5 min half time).
Those that sign up first will have priority in assignments.
