2022 Referee Information
Hello Everyone,
Here are the steps to become a soccer referee.

The total costs to become a referee are $215:
– $170 for uniform kit (2 shirts, shorts, socks, bag, flags, whistle, cards, etc) and the state fees for registration
– $20 to the US Soccer Federation for the course and registration
– $45 to Hudson Valley Soccer Referees Association (HVSRA) local chapter for training, mentoring, and chapter administration
Must by 14 yrs old to register (no exceptions).
Typical Sunday travel referee game fees are shown here. Youth referees start out doing in house games on Saturdays. Once they are comfortable, they will start doing Sunday travel matches. Referees provide their availability for the upcoming weekend and are assigned games accordingly (many youth referees also play and are assigned games when they are available).
