Request for Player Age Group Advancement
EFSC Intramural/LDT
As a rule, players on EFSC recreational/LDT teams are required to play on age.
Potential exceptions, and requests to play in an older age group, require approval and will be handled on a case-by-case basis based on the criteria below. For safety reasons requests can only be made to play one age group older and requests for U8 players to play with the combined U9/U10 group cannot be honored.
- Once a request is submitted a time to evaluate the player during training or in a game will be determined.
- Evaluation by respective DOC or EFSC board member to review prospective player’s ability. This includes but is not limited to, physical and emotional maturity as well as technical and tactical ability in relation to the age group.
- Needs of the age group/team to which the player is currently assigned.
- Needs of the age group/team to which the player would be moving.
-
Determination of the effect the move would have on the team that the player is currently on as well as the team she/he would be joining (number of players currently rostered, competitiveness of the team within its age group, team dynamics…)
- Any move must be approved by both the Intramural DOC and Program Director.
Requests to play with an older age group must be submitted at least two weeks before the fall season starts. If requesting a move between the fall and spring seasons, the request must be received by January 1, preceding the spring season. Request to play up Click Here
