MISSION STATEMENT

East Fishkill Soccer Club is a non-profit town-based travel soccer program, based in East Fishkill, New York. Our coaches, assistants, board members and committee members are all dedicated volunteers. We are dedicated to the long-term player development of our travel team members from ages 8 and up. Our goal is to develop players’ individual and team skills, promote character and leadership qualities, inspire, and create a lifelong passion for the game of soccer through quality instruction and high-level competitive play. We strive to help our players develop important life skills such as good sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, goal setting and hard work.

TRAVEL SOCCER Commitment

The year is broken down into two seasons for league play, 8-10 games in the fall and 8-10 games in the spring.  Teams practice twice a week plus a game either on Saturday or Sunday during the Spring and Fall seasons. During the winter months (November to March), there is indoor practice 1 day a week.  The games per season are split with half being home games in East Fishkill and the Hudson Valley region. Away games are typically a 25-minute drive with usually a maximum of 45-50 minutes for the younger player.  As the players progress to participate in the higher level leagues, travel can get further as we could play teams from Long Island, NYC or the Albany area.  As part of the EFSC travel program for U8 to U10 teams are also offered a skills session on Fridays a week during the Fall & Spring seasons – typically 6-8 sessions per season run by professional trainers.  These skills sessions are an ideal way for the players to continue to work on the foundation skills and techniques needed to develop to their potential and are included as part of the overall program offered by EFSC.  Tournaments are completely at the discretion of the team but typically reserved for the holiday weekends. Teams typically compete in 1 or 2 tournaments every Spring and Fall plus 2 to 3 tournaments over the winter season.
